Anarcha
Update 03/08/05 - Trip IV -- The Southeast http://www.anarcha.org/project.php
The
forth and final trip of the Anarcha Project is about to begin. Having
done 159 interviews throughout the rest of the country, I'm leaving
March 22nd to speak with people throughout the Southeast. The Anarcha
Project is a people's history project that seeks to increase women
+ trans' voices in our current media and for the historical record.
The interviews record anarchist and anti-authoritarian women and
trans folks' words for a book, a website and a historical video
archive.
I
need your help in finding anarcha-feminist & rad people to interview,
places to stay, and food to share. Please write back immediately
if you can help with any of those things. Men and other allies have
played an important role in the past trips by recommending inspiring
women & trans folks they know. Please include names, e-mails,
city/state and telephone, if you can and write soon!
With hope & resistance,
~ Kate

A
little about myself, for those who are interested: Currently, I'm
a member of the Iron Rail Book
Collective in New Orleans, LA. I'm a volunteer for the New
Orleans Chapter of Critical
Resistance and involved in several feminist groups. In the
past, I've been a member and trainer for Phoenix
Copwatch, worked with political prisoner/defense
campaigns, Arizona
& New Orleans Indymedia,
political conferences, Thought
Crime Gallery and was a long-time member of the Phoenix
Anarchist Coalition. You can write any of these groups to
do background checks and please feel free to do so - trust is essential
to this project. Hope to hear from ya'll soon, ~ Kate
